Specialised Learning Support for Neurodiverse Students
The NDIS does not fund general academic tuition. For neurodiverse students with specialised learning needs, the NDIS may cover support that relates directly to a student’s disability and contributes to their functional development to help them succeed in both school and life.
We regularly receive requests from families with NDIS funding. While we are not currently a registered NDIS provider, we may be able to provide assistance with skill development and functional life skills training through targeted sessions and mentoring.
We have tutors and mentors who can provide assistance with:
- Skill development and training, to build independence, confidence and life skills
- Specialised sessions paced to the student’s capacity, not a curriculum
- Building functional learning skills, attention and processing strategies to improve daily functioning
- Support to assist neurodiverse students in overcoming learning challenges tied to their disability
Ultimately, the support needs to align with the participant’s goals and is best discussed with your support coordinator or plan manager.
